Thread Season: Winter
Noir decided that instead of staying inside the office was boring, she dragged Ceri along to the first Route. They had come up with some solution, or rather, what they thought was the solution to the transportation situation, now it was just a matter of time before the higher ups looks at it and approve or disapprove it. But instead of waiting, might as well travel right? Besides, she could get some more companions to travel around with in between her researches and to get her pokemon trained.
So now her and her companion, Ceri, were just wondering around on the first route, opting out going to the lab right now. Maybe later on they will visit there, but now, it was pokemon training slash capturing time.

It was snowing lightly as Noir and Ceri began to explore the Route, and it slowly began to coat the ground in glittering white. While they walked, a tiny brown Pokémon spotted them and curiously approached, keeping quiet. Once he figured that it was safe, the little Slakoth climbed down from his tree and sat on the ground, greeting them with a small cry and a wave of his claws. They seemed friendly enough, but he would be ready to flee if he had to.

Even with her winter clothing, she could still feel the chill air nip at her. But it won't stop her just yet. Ceri was just fine with a Silk Scarf wrapped around his neck, sticking close to his trainer. After some time stepping through the snow cover route, something caught their attention.
A tiny little pokemon seem to have come down from it's perch on a tree to say hello. Upon closer inspection, it was a Slakoth. "Oh, hello to you as well little guy." Noir said as she went down to the pokemon's level. "You shouldn't be down here. But it's nice for you to greet us." she smiled, debating on rather to reach out and pet the sloth.

"Slak slakoth!" he mewled. He was obviously a very young Pokémon, but he didn't seem as though he was troubled, starving, or hurt in any way. Perhaps something had happened to his family, or he had been alone for a while, but it was clear that he was not being claimed by any of the nearby Pokémon and that he was perfectly healthy on his own. He seemed friendly for a wild Pokémon, almost as if he had been left behind by a trainer that he thought might come back for him. This was not the case, of course, but it likely seemed that way to the young researcher. The Slakoth appeared to be holding a Kelpsy Berry, which he was holding out for Noir in his claws.

The Sloth seems to be too friendly to be a wild pokemon, but then again she hasn't met many that were willing to come up to a person willingly. Maybe this little one is one of the few that is just too friendly for it's own good as others could prey upon them if they so which. The Slakoth seem to mew happily towards her and held out a claw with something in it, a blue berry.
"Aw, that's sweet of you." the woman said as she reached out to take the fruit from the tiny pokemon. On closer inspection of the shape, she identified it as a Kelpsy Berry, a berry that is know to make pokemon friendly if it is eaten. So maybe that is way the Slakoth was willing to come to her, being on a diet of these berries. Figuring this out, perhaps it wasn't so safe for the pokemon to be out here by itself.
"Hey, how about you come with me. Would you like that?" she asked as she fumbled around in her bag to get a pokeball out, holding the red and white sphere in her hand as she presented it to the Sloth. The scientist would rather not leave the pokemon out here by itself.

The little brown sloth looked curious. What was that shiny circle thing that the nice lady had? Was it a gift for him in return for the berry? He decided that it couldn't possibly be a bad thing and reached for it, touching it with a claw. He gave a small sound of surprise as he was sucked into the contraption, but apparently didn't mind so much as he didn't even try to struggle his way out. There was Noir's answer, at least. Three shakes and the red button faded back to white, and the scientist was the proud owner of a baby Slakoth. Noir captured a Slakoth!

Distantly, a little blue Nidoran snuffled around, looking for something to eat beneath the snow. It didn't seem to be having any luck, but it seemed quite determined to eat whatever it could find, as evidenced by the fact that it seemed to be chewing on a rock. It spit the rock out, wrinkled up its nose, then kept digging.

With the Slakoth safely in her care, Noir put the pokeball away and went on down the route. After traveling a few feet another pokemon seem to caught her eye, a Nidoran. She noticed that the bunny was searching around for something before it chewed on a rock, promptly spitting it out. It seems that the pokemon was hungry.
Noir, not one to let a pokemon go hungry, she figured that she could spare a few berries since she has alot. It's just a matter on if the pokemon would accept help from a human. The researcher reached into her bag, pulling out a few Oran berries and slowly walked up to the Nidoran. "Hey there. You look hungry. Would you like some of these." She bent down to show the pokemon the berries in her hand to it.

The Nidoran, which appeared to be a blue male, cried out sharply when the human approached. He had been startled and held his horn forward menacingly until the lady offered him the berries. When he scented them, he lowered his horn and inched forward, nose twitching furiously and ears perked in case of danger. Sensing no ill intent, the Nidoran snatched one of the berries from Noir's hand and hopped back a few paces to eat it, chewing loudly. Once he finished the first berry, he moved forward to take another, less cautiously this time, and stayed closer while he ate it, keeping a very close eye on the seemingly friendly trainer.

From a distance the coloration of the pokemon made the young researcher think the Nidoran was actually female. But when it got closer and she could see the features of the pokemon, larger horn and more pronounced spines on it's back, the pokemon was actually a male! Ah, a shiny on at that.
Unlike the first pokemon Noir encountered, this male seem to be more cautious towards her before finally settling down as he gobbled up the berries. She should be warily as well, as one scratch of the Nidoran's horn can send her to the emergency room, which wouldn't really be that fun at all.
"Heh, you were really hungry huh?" she chuckled as the last berry left her hand. Not that she could blame him, being winter and all. Maybe bigger pokemon took all the good food and not leaving any for some of the smaller ones like him. "I have plenty more, if you want more that is."

The previously cautious and shy Pokémon heard the word 'more' and began nodding eagerly, eyes shining and mouth curved into a grin. Perhaps this trainer was worthy of his time and was worth being friendly to. Normally, he just hid when trainers came, but he hadn't noticed this one; perhaps these things happened for a reason after all.
After nodding for a few moments, he appeared to remember something and dove into the bushes behind him. There was a loud rustling, then he emerged with a length of white silk in his mouth. It was a Silk Scarf, and he offered it to Noir gratefully.
