The way this research thing works is this: A scientist character chooses a topic to research, such as, for example, a food shortage. This isn't one of the current problems, it's merely an example. So, once the scientist has chosen what they wish to try to fix, they must go out into REGION and find things that help them work towards a solution to the problem. Say they find someone that has protected their garden with a fence and has enough food, then they find someone with a garden that's been torn asunder and they have no food of their own; this will lead the scientist to conclude that a garden with protection of some sort is more likely to feed the family growing the garden. The player must make a thread with their findings here in the research center, where an admin will keep an eye on them. As they gain information towards a goal solution, the admin watching over the scientist's thread will say whether or not they're on the right track. When they've gained enough information, the admin will tell them that they have succeeded, and the item or solution will be invented or found. For the most part, if an item is invented, the scientist gets money for their findings and a company will begin selling the item or giving it away; as for found solutions, its distribution depends on what the solution and problem are.
