Lesson Number One

The wind blew pass the grass on this calm route. Alilyessa enjoy when the wind picks up, it reminds her a bit of happier times from her childhood. She was daydreaming of all the people from the caravan, their kindness and the aid that they gave her to her training.

<"Hey, are you even paying attention."> Her Gastly spoke to her. She figured to leave him out for him to aid her some more. "Hmm, I apologize what were you saying". She gave a weak smile towards her Gastly. She figure to talk to him normally so she can keep a conversation He sighed, <"alright, Let me go over this once again. To make clear contact to spirits is to understand what feelings they might have before their passing.">. She thought it over a bit, it really did make sense but how can know what those spirits feel before even meeting them.

<"I know that it can be a tough concept, but once you pick this up you can gain so much in your spirit power."> he gave a wry smile. She sighed, "You know, it's not all that easy for me to understand it from just hearing about it".<"This is true with anything really. Maybe when have the chance we might be able to practice it.">

A brief silence had passed between the two, then Alilyessa spoke up. "I ever really asked if you have a name". The Gastly thought for a moment, as though he may have forgotten all about his name. <"I'm not entirely certain, but I think it was Ebenezer."> Alilyessa had laugh, she thought it was weird for her Gastly to actually have one but to have one that kind of suited him.

Suddenly, directly in front of Alilyessa, a yellow cocoon fell down onto the ground. The Kakuna, as that was what it was, looked irritated with being on the ground and stood up to the best of her ability, looking around herself. Spotting the Gastly, she decided that she was offended by his face and began making accusations in a sharp tone. "Kak, kakun!!! Kaku-kuna!" It seemed that the Kakuna thought that Ebenezer was the one that knocked her out of the tree. How unusual.

<" I assure you miss, I didn't knock you out of your tree."> Ebenezer seemed a little flustered with the Kakuna's accusation. Alilyessa bend down towards the Kukuna. "Ebenezer, I think she just upset because her rest was disturbed. Isn't that right?" She asked the Kakuna trying to pet it.

"Kakakakkaaku!!!!" The Kakuna did not look happy with the trainer trying to touch her. She lashed out with her stinger and jumped back, though she didn't try to actually hit the human, more just warn her away. "Kak kaku!!" The flustered Pokémon glared at the Gastly. She clearly wanted a battle, if the way she was brandishing her stinger was anything to go by.

Wild Kakuna wants to battle!

Alilyessa stepped back when the Kakuna tried swiping at her. <"Well, she's not a well mannered madame. Alilyessa, Think it might be a good idea to fight.">. Alilyessa looked on towards Ebenezer, a bit shocked that he would say that. "I guess you are right. Go Ebenezer."

Kakuna wasted no time in making her move once the Gastly decided to be her opponent. She began the fierce battle with a powerful Harden, toughening her shell and raising her defense against whatever the Gastly would throw her way. Once she made her move, she glared at the ghost, daring him to attack.

Alilyessa saw what the Kakuna was doing, she figured it would be best to slow it down a bit. "Ebenezer use Lick" she order and Ebenezer complied sticking out his tongue toward the Kakuna preparing to lick her.

The Kakuna not only took damage from her foe's Lick attack, but the attack caused her to become Paralyzed. She tried to use Tackle in retaliation for the attack, but she was fully paralyzed and had to settle for shaking and making an angry noise.

Ebenezer was glad as it seems that she was paralyzed from his attack. "Ebenezer, once again lick." Alilyessa order, Ebenezer Obey and tried again.

Again, Lick's accuracy proved good, and the Kakuna was damaged by it. This time, however, she was not fully Paralyzed, and was able to fight back with a Poison Sting attack. She leapt towards Ebenezer and struck out with her stinger, hoping to do some decent damage to her enemy.

The Kakuna's attack had made contact, though probably not as effective as she had hoped. Lucky for Ebenezer he didn't get poisoned from the attack. <"It will take more than that o bring me down."> He smirked a bit. "Ebenezer, Let's make this quick. Do Lick again", Alilyessa order again, as it was the only means to do damage.

Kakuna was struck once again by the Lick attack, depleting her health by a bit once again. She was starting to get tired, and the Paralyzation kicked in once more to keep her stuck unmoving in one little spot. It seemed as though Ebenezer and Alilyessa were going to win this fight with little effort.

"Ebenezer, lick". Alilyessa order again, Ebenezer follow quite well with this.

Ebenezer got lucky this time, with the attack being a critical hit and causing double the usual damage to the pupa. In response, the Kakuna curled into herself and cried out angrily, then leapt out with another Poison Sting. It looked like she would hang on and fight to the bitter end.

The attack connected Ebenezer, but yet again the attack did little towards him, not even poisoning him. Alilyessa saw the Kakuna endure itself through the end of this battle. She didn't want to knock it out but she felt that she would continue to attack them if Ebenezer were to stop now. "Ebenezer, Lick her again" she called. Ebenezer did just that.

With another lucky strike, Ebenezer managed to end the battle with the Kakuna, which meant that the insect was passed out on the ground with Ebenezer as the victor. If Alilyessa liked, she could capture the bug or leave it there, but either way it was obviously time to keep moving. In one direction, there was a pair of berry trees, one with five Oran berries and the other with a single Aspear berry. In the other direction was a Sentret, who was clearly on a mission to get somewhere fast.

Alilyessa looked towards the trees with the berries. She figured that it might be wise for her to gather them for later. As she harvest the berries from the trees she notice that there was a backpack with it's contents scattered about the ground. Alilyessa put away the Oran berries and bend down to the backpack
to look at the contents. There were several different pokeballs all are empty, except for four of the pokeballs that had pokemon. She opens the balls and the four pokemon that came out are a Feebas, an Eevee, a Ralts, and a pokemon that she didn't recognize. Though she can at least tell it was a fire pokemon of sort.
<"Alilyessa, What are you doing?"> Ebenezer, who feels that what she is doing is rude and horrible. "I'm just investigating." She said calmly. <"But this is someone's belongings">. "Ebenezer, I think that who ever had this backpack either was taken away or they abandon their belonging. I hope that it's the former of the two, seeing that they abandon these pokemon seems horrible for someone to do". Alilyessa took the contents and the pokemon with her.

A flash of purple suddenly entered Alilyessa's vision from the right. It was a little Rattata, rushing headlong to get to.. what? Food, shelter, whatever it was, it was a very fast rodent. It rushed all the way past, then suddenly skidded to a halt and turned around when it realized that there had been a person and a Pokémon nearby. It blinked in confusion for a moment, then scampered back towards the trainer and Gastly. "Tat! Rattata!" it called out to the Gastly. It was asking if they were friend or foe.

Ebenezer was thrown a little off guard that a Rattata that seeming was running away from something or towards something to just stop in front of a trainer. More so that it asked hey were friend or foe, whatever the reason the Rattata itself didn't seem like it was to much of a threat to them. <"We are no threat to you, why are you running?"> Ebenezer asked to see if there is anything that they can do to help. Alilyessa stands by looking at the poor Rattata seeing that it's exhausted from before.

"Tatta tat! Tat tatta tat rat!" The Rattata was basically explaining with a suspicious look at the human that he was looking for food and was worried that they would have been a threat to him, but since they weren't, he would be on his way. "Tat.. ratta rat rattata?" he added, face lighting up just a little. He was asking if they wanted to battle.
